Updates
Sorry, you guys. It has been a while. But I have been working feverishly.
I rewrote Lady of Justice.
I am editing War of Tears (writing is done)
I have to rewrite Land of Peace to match changes I made to Lady of Justice.
And I am designing covers for all 3!
That said, I am suspending Land of Peace until I have made the proper changes.

One hundred pages to go!
I can't believe it. Everything has been leading up to this, the final battle! I am pleased to announce that I have one hundred more pages to write and then I'm finished.
I know exactly how I want this story to end. I am actually thinking about writing it backward. As it seems, the ending scene needs to be written first.
The question is... once I close this chapter so to speak, will it ever open again? I truly don't know. There are other worlds and characters brewing in my mind. Other stories begging to be told. It will be sad to say goodbye to Anna, Dax, Liz, and Alex. Bellus, Videns, Cavea, and Errata and many others! I might even miss my villains.
Truthfully, it is the second generation. My characters' children that might not leave my mind alone. But for now, say goodbye to Terra for a time. Yeah, I'm probably going to cry writing this last scene. Wish me luck!

Kids say the funniest things...
5 y/o daughter: Mom, read me Harry Potter.
Me: "It's 6:55 in the morning. Mommy wanted to sleep considering it is a Saturday."
daughter: "But mom, Harry Potter is much more important than you sleeping."
Me: (Sigh, getting out of bed) I have no one to blame but myself.
Me: "Fine, just let mommy get her coffee. Go sit on the reading couch, I will be there in five minutes."
In retrospect, Rowling is a nice way to start the day. Just not before 7 in the morning. What can I say. I think she might have inherited my book addiction!

War of Tears... progress!
Hello Readers,
I just wanted to update you on the current status of the third book. I am very pleased to announce that I have written 400 pages since the start of the summer. And I am very excited... I am eager to finish, but I understand that certain things can not be rushed. And writing is one of them. I anticipate I have about 200 more pages to go.

Kingdom of Shattered Glass
I rewrote the synopsis. I think this is more concise and more likely to grab the attention of the readers. I will post below let me know what you guys think. Thanks! Oh heads up, this is nothing like Romeo and Juliet!
He wakes from a dream of a little girl crying in the woods. She chews on her amber braid nervously, holds her teddy bear close and then disappears. Adara returned a year ago, and she haunts his dreams night after night. He cannot put her memory to rest. But she did not die that day in the forest, and all the evidence is pointing to a shocking revelation, she’s still alive and he will find her even if it means defying his father’s will. He will risk death over the wall. He will confront the mad king, his father’s once true friend, and now Arden’s enemy. King Kieran ripped his homeland in two, slaughtered his own people who were brave enough to rebel against him, and locked up his gifted ones, all so he could avoid his father. King Kieran’s hatred is a mystery and Arden’s father refuses to tell him anything.

Her father has hated King Asher since before she was born, but he still is willing to read the letters he sends every year. So why did he build that blasted wall? Why does he hate Asher so much? He changed history when he shattered their land. Divinity wonders what her dreams may mean, is it simply her subconscious begging for the truth, or something more. And with resistance rising against her father, will Revyland ever be safe again. The people have not forgotten what he did and they are out for blood.

Ocean of Fate
So a new book idea came to me today. I am convinced that my daughter is my inspiration. So far, every plot line that has popped into my head has arisen when I play dolls with her. The prince has to have something to say to the princess right? It took five minutes and I already had a story.
The problem is... I already have so many. Believe me, I am not complaining, I just do not know which one I want to write first or when I will find the time. I would much rather prefer a writing spree to a writers block. I am very excited about this one. Here is the link to the synopsis.

An ode to Terra
I am a writer.
I have the power to give joy and inflict pain.
Create love and destroy it.
Travel to worlds that only exist in my mind.
Worlds that are so beautiful and yet so perilous.
Filled with conflict and death, magic and mystery.
My villains will haunt your dreams.
My heroes will inspire them.
Get lost in the deep subconscious of their minds.
Feel their terror and their sorrow.
Know their successes and their failures
Full of flaws and insecurities, they are as real as you or I
Take the journey with them and you will remember their stories.
Cry, scream, laugh, and rejoice. For when it's all over, you will relish in their triumph.

Be kind and have courage
Encouraging words are like a balm to our souls. We all crave it even though we many not admit it. Because deep down inside, we all have seeds of doubt that have been planted in us from past hurts. And when we hear words of affirmation it's like another seed is snuffed out and driven into the earth.
Criticism even if it is meant to be constructive can sometimes cause more harm than good. It takes those seeds of doubt and allows them to grow until a person is left with an insecure, fragile, spirit.
There is a delicate balance between honesty and negativity. It is important to maintain integrity, we do not want to build false hopes or generate hubris. But our negativity is a poison. We all have to try to do better.
So today, pick a person in your life and say something kind, anything! Words are powerful.

School's out!
It's time to write. Yes, finally! Grading and prepping kids for exams has kept me rather busy. But now it's time to finish what I started. Time to see how this story ends. If it is anything like last summer, the words will flow out of me in a relentless torrent. Here's hoping. Wish me luck!
