Sharing a Home

Fluffed feather pillows

on soft mattress,

placed in the warmest corner

of my humble heart.

There,

you and I can lay together,

leave our worries when we rest

to rediscover the bravery

we hold within ourselves.

Adorable in your sleep

I let you in for too little too long,

and now the devil inside you has awoken.

His rampant energy kicked me out

bruised and cold,

lying on the gelid staircase

of my rib cage.

Your words poison my blood

and I rot in agony.

Your love is the death of me.
