Constructed a castle on soft sand,
skin scorched by sizzling sun.
I built a throne for you
surrounded by pebbles
as if they were diamonds.
You are fit to be king,
to be the ruler of my kingdom
and I trust all in you.
One fierce gust of wind,
a wave multiplied,
tall enough to drown all my dreams
and flood the castle.
My king has been carried away,
and I lay heartbroken,
alone,
wondering where it all went wrong.
I thought you promised that
you would forever stay.
