Entombed

Buried underneath piles of blankets,

every blanket that was lying in your house,

hiding you lay

termbling

in a frozen tomb.

You have laid your bed

stalling inevitable death

as the last bit of warmth runs off,

terrorized of your hollow, ice-cold chest.

Eyes glued shut

icicles band lashes together,

spiteful fists clenched,

ridged fingernails dig

deep in bleeding pale hands.

My heart once ablaze,

you had extinguished it dry,

a heart inept of thawing you

out of a gruesome death.
