LA native Cassandra Violet has shared her new single "Pretty" with Atwood Magazine. The track is featured on Cassandra Violet's EP 4 due December 1. Atwood Magazine says, "This track is profoundly personal for Violet, but its relatability transcends individual experience. Add to that the song’s infectious melodies and dynamic claps, and you’ve got a song that refuses to get out of our heads. Its happy-go-lucky outer shell disguises the darkness dwelling within, but it’s not hard to breach that surface and sense the tension and outrage, ache and hurt driving Violet forward." Cassandra Violet has a Los Angeles EP release show scheduled for December 2 at The Moroccan Lounge. Tickets for the show are available HERELast month "Invisible Man" from the forthcoming EP premiered along with along with exclusive interivew at AudioFemme. "Invisible Man" can also be shared at Soundcloud orSpotify. About the song Cassandra Violet says, "'Invisible Man' is a song about being in love with someone who is never around, but you can't get them out of your mind, and it sucks, so you try and distract yourself but nothing works. So, basically, loneliness. It might not be very high concept but I think everyone can relate!"Cassandra Violet's transcendent indie pop blends infectious hooks, loops and layered vocals into a candy-colored girl-group confection, a la Lily Allen meets the Supremes. Already a SoCal favorite, her unique sounds have been featured at the Echo, the Bootleg, the Hotel Café, Resident, and the Regent Theater, with press in LA Weekly, Buzzbands LA and Glide Magazine. Her songs have been placed on Ozark (Netflix), The Mindy Project (Hulu), The Fosters (ABC Family), and films including Girl on the Edge, featured on Showtime. Cassandra writes songs from a modern woman’s perspective about strength, solitude, love and disappointment, sung in sassy three part harmony.
