(composed yesterday while waiting in line. Sing to the old cowboy tune "Old Paint".)
I ride an old Ford,
Got my dog here in the seat.
We're a goin' down to Wal-Mart,
Where the shoppers are obese.
They're a stompin' and a growlin' in the tater chip aisle.
They assaulted the Santa.
Black Friday is their child.
Ride around,
Ride around real slow,
'Cause the parkin' lot at Wal-Mart is filled
And we should go.
What'ere I'm savin' here,
I'm a burnin' up in gas.
It's the 5th time round the parkin' lot,
My dog and me shall pass.
He's a whinin' at the shoppers
that'er fightin' for a cart.
Never seen such humanity,
'Cept for TV after dark.
Ride around,
Ride around real slow,
'Cause the parkin' lot at Wal-Mart is filled
And we should go.
I know this tale,
Ain't nothin' new to you.
You seen the psychosis.
Society is screwed.
While the fat and the stupid,
Are livin' mighty large,
All the rest of us yahoos
Tote the bale and lift the barge.
Ride around,
Ride around real slow,
'Cause the parkin' lot at Wal-Mart is filled
And we should go.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
