Stanislaw Lem and the Art of Adaptation: long-time Lem translator Michael Kandel will participate in this panel discussion on the great Polish sci-fi author’s work, joined by Christopher Caes and Ezra Glinter. Wednesday, Nov. 8:

Found in Translation: Translators Margaret Carson, Chia-Lun Chang, and Kyoo Lee – representing three languages widely spoken in Flushing (Spanish, Chinese, and Korean) – will conduct a public workshop on translating poetry facilitated by Richard Newman.
