Setup for this snippet: Cecilia's ghost father has followed her home.
In this scene, it doesn't read exactly how it does in the book. A few sentences have been tweaked to meet the 10 sentence limit. This is in Cecilia's POV.

I don't understand why you stuck around. Wasn't there... I don't know... a light or something you could go into?"
"If there is one, I haven't seen it. The music room has been the only place where I could roam until now."
She reached for his hand on impulse, but her fingers slid through his onto the table and the cold electric tingle caused her to jerk her hand away in response. "Sorry."
"No need to be," he told her as he sat down on the edge of the table as if he were as solid as any living person, but she knew if she tried to touch him again, she wouldn't feel flesh, but energy of some sort. He no longer had a physical body and even though it appeared as if he were seated on the edge of the table, he wasn't. He floated slightly above it.
"Why are you still here, Dad?"
