FRONT PORCH FELLOWSHIP – IF I DON’T DO IT and OTHER LIES
I spent a lot of years trying to “do it all” because either a) there was no one else to do it, or b) I just wanted to get the job done without explaining how to do it.
Both suck. As in drain the life from a body, eeking it out over time.
And it leaves you exhausted.
Be still and know.
There were many reasons I lived this way. None of them exist anymore.
I can do all things.
How many years I thought that meant Father would enable me to, well, actually DO everything. Or at least everything [I thought] I needed had to do.
Total misinterpretation.
What He’s actually saying is that anything He asks or requires of us—that is what He enables us to do. Nothing more and nothing less.

He intends us to rest. To abide in Him.
I don’t have to prove myself to anyone—least of all to my heavenly Father.
And He’s the only one Who really matters.
