Paying to Advertise a Free Book Paying to Advertise a Free Book Last week, I  talked about changing the price of When Danger Calls to free in conjunction with the release of Identity Crisis. I gave some thought to paying to advertise a free book, and decided it might have merit.

I’d applied, unsuccessfully, for a BookBub feature, but that was turned down. (They reject about 85% of all submissions.) I opted to use the money I’d been willing to spend on 4 other marketing newsletters that feature free books...
