Necessary Distractions for Healing the Heart

With the passing of my father, his wake and a funeral,[image error] it was comforting to receive hugs, love and condolences from family and friends, and I thank everyone.  On the right is a bouquet from my colleagues at work.

Still there is a part of me that is exhausted from crying and a little numb. I personally need to retreat a bit this week.

One way is through movies. I hadn’t seen it before and was surprised how beautiful it is.  Have you seen the recent version of “Beauty and the Beast” with Emma Watson.  It’s beautiful to look at, has some additional songs, a wonderful cast and is exquisite. I enjoyed it immensely and it took me away for a while, so I wasn’t really thinking or worrying about anything.

Being grief-struck, I’ve had trouble writing… maybe a paragraph here and there. So I decided to read and found this intriguing paranormal romance that’s a ghost story called, Wanted: One Ghost: A Crossroads of Kings Mill Novel by Loni Lynne. I’ve only started it and already find it a page-turner with suspense and surprises, not at all the expected ghost story. It’s fun and exciting and endearing.

Being a writer I’m still trying to write a little here and little there. Then I get tired and go to sleep. It takes time to heal a heart, and I’m finding necessary distractions are a part of this.
