Dalai lama requests visa to attend Desmond Tutu's 80th birthday party

As Desmond Tutu has invited His Holiness the Dalai Lama to attend his 80th birthday celebrations in Cape Town, the Dalai Lama requires a visa from the South African government. The Dalai Lama’s previous visa applications to visit South Africa were turned down at the behest of China.
