#SelfCoaching - Time to reprogram your mind's GPS

My wife and I were not familiar with how to get back to New Jersey from our friend’s home on Long Island, so we set up our GPS, clicking "Go home" on our device. Little did we know that my daughter had previously used our car and had re-programmed the GPS's "home" directions. We were driving along in quiet conversation, when my wife asked, "Why does that sign say Mid-Town Tunnel?" After a few more miles, we realized we were, in fact, headed due south rather than north and home. We were lost!

It wasn't the GPS's fault that we were lost; it was only following my daughter's programming. And this is my point; unhealthy, attempts to over-control life is the product of misguided directions given by insecurity's programming (chronic doubt, fear, and negative thinking). And like our GPS excursion, unless you reprogram your mind and your brain, you too will be heading in the opposite direction from where you want to wind up.
