I Have Trouble Paying The Same For Baby And Regular Pineapples

I have issues paying the same price for baby pineapples and regular pineapples. My wife and I ran across baby pineapples at Sprouts recently. They wanted $2.99 each for them. My wife wanted to get one. However, they also wanted $2.99 each for regular pineapples. I just couldn’t make myself go for the baby.

After all, the regular pineapple was five times the size of the baby. I know the baby is probably sweeter, and I hear the center is soft and edible whereas you should really cut out the center from regular pineapples, but still. Five times the size? The baby fit in my hand. We only would have gotten a tiny amount each. I had to go for the regular.

Couldn’t we at least have a minor price difference so I could justify it to myself?
