Why does so much stuff happen while you're incommunicado, as in Hawaii and not answering your cell? Well, my very beloved publisher who brought me to Simon & Schuster (Gallery Books) is retiring on the 18th and I just saw the article, got the call from her and tears are flowing. I've known her for many years and she is amazing. She will be missed by a lot of people, me leading the pack. I know, I know, you don't know her, but believe me, she's one of the very best in the crazy publishing world.
Most of you did indeed do time for me on cardio whilst I was gone -- but I'm wondering, did you only do the 2 minutes for me and nothing for yourself? Nah, not you guys, you're loaded with virtue and respect and love of your own bod, right?
Work today, getting back into Paradox -- spent three hours yesterday rereading the last 50 pages and goodness, a whole lot of rewriting and editing. Does it never end? I have to say NO. Diving in the deep end today -- that is, original writing and this part's really fun, so keep all toes and fingers crossed, even while you're doing your circles with your arms, SLOWLY, front and back, 3 sets of 12 each.
Two more weeks in August -- isn't that amazing. Pre-season football is upon us and no, I haven't watched any, it's usually so bad.
