Goodreads made me do it!

Before I was published I had never heard of Goodreads. I joined as an author and I am giving books away to get people to consider reading something I wrote. However, I have been sucked in as a reader. I joined some groups with like minded people and found the list of books I want growing by the day. When I bought a Kindle I resisted the temptation to load it up with books just because I could. There is nothing on my Kindle that I haven't read. Goodreads, however, is a different story. My 'to read' shelf is full of books I haven't bought and now Goodreads is making it harder to resist. The new improved Goodreads makes recommendations based on the books you have chosen in the past. I have to say, it's pretty good and most of the books it suggested look like stories I would want to read.

So, if you use Goodreads, do you actually intend to read all the books on your 'to read' shelf or are you just book hoarding?

Now don't forget you still have one day to enter the competition to win a copy of my new book Male Order

and the huge prize draw that includes a Kindle and an amazing collection of e-books on the Silken Sheets and Seduction blog is running until October 1st
