The Binder

Galatians 5:1
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Watercolors, acrylics, oil, and pastel all have beautiful colors, but what makes them possible isn't the hues produced. The thing that gives them their personality, and their existence, is the binder. That part of them that may have no color at all in some cases, gives them substance.

In other words, its the unseen part that holds them together. The binder gives Watercolor its transparency, acrylic its adaptability, and oil its light. Just as The Lord grants us righteousness, strength, and light. The very One that made us, holds us together.

He also gives us the strength to hold it together, regardless of the canvas He chooses to place us on. God did not cause the battle, but He chose the battleground. An much like an artist painting on location, He knows what the final masterpiece will look like.

An artist will sketch people and things around him, but only he or she decides what goes in the picture. Do not allow the circumstances of your situation to overwhelm you, or to shape you. Allow God to shape you in your circumstances, but know that He is the One crafting you.

What you face does not define you, holding to The One who is with you while facing it does. Know that He has bound you up in the cleft of His heart, and nothing can rob us of our victory when He hold on to Him! So allow Him to paint you in your situation today, and know that you're not backed into a corner, but a display of The Master's work!
