I eat Ezekiel bread (made of legumes and grains) without gluten like most breads ...and sometimes eat it with Mediterranean Bab a Ghanouge to liven it up a bit.
I like tabuli (without salt) ...another great Mediterranean dish.
Black beans and most beans are outstanding, just without the pork, salt and "all the fixens" that fatten you up.
For flavor try my favorite - cilantro and garlic - both of which are great for your health. Add some onions and salsa to beans and you'll be loving it in no time and feel far less weighed down without the rice afterward.
If you must eat rice and can't live without it, choose wild rice or brown rice with the husks and fiber.
Steel cut oatmeal, Kashi cereals, Ezekiel cereal, keifer (original without 20 grams of sugar like the others w/ fruit flavor) are all excellent for you.
4. Sleep Well
The more you sleep the more fat your burn. Keep your room dark and free from lights so you can get deeper rim sleep.
In New York I use earplugs so I won't hear any noise and sleep uninterrupted.
