All good points! Strong heroines should be paired up with strong heroes. I can't imagine a strong heroine having any respect for a hero who lets her walk all over him. I try to balance the two out when I write because I'm always thinking, "If this was real life, would these two really have what it takes to stay together for the rest of their lives?"
Thank you! Eliza is my favorite female character of all time because I was able to get into her head right away. It didn't take any time at all to figure her out. She guided the story the entire way. Most of the time, I struggle at some point in the story in what to do next, but that never happened once in "Loving Eliza".

Of course I'm gonna put in my 2 cents LOL
I personally like a strong heroine.. but I find some authors make them over the top too strong and even worse make the hero too weak.
A strong female does not mean she needs to be a bitch, cold, unfeminine..she can be strong in intelligence, wit, courage...yet still have a soft feminine side.
It seems to take great talent in creating a female who is strong yet feminie and likable IMO.
I think a great example is Eliza in "Loving Eliza."
I loved her character.. she was very strong yet feminine..perfectly crafted!
