Algumas mudanças | Some changes

Sei que tenho estado a publicar à quarta-feira e ao sábado as opiniões que fui recolhendo sobre o primeiro capítulo do meu livro intitulado "Perdidos". No entanto, já não tenho muitos mais comentários a adicionar, por isso vou cingir a respectiva publicação ao dia de quarta-feira.A que conclusões cheguei até agora? Bem, no geral as críticas têm sido positivas, mas também me foram apontados certos aspectos que me fizeram reflectir. Por exemplo, as opiniões de leitores mais jovens referem que há demasiada descrição no capítulo e gostariam que houvesse mais diálogo; já os leitores mais adultos, no geral não concordam e dizem que está bem assim. O que fazer então? Decidi que, de modo a atenuar a quantidade de informação que se segue e para tentar "prender" o leitor logo de início, vou escrever um prólogo, mas um muito curto, afinal o livro já vai longo. Para os próximos dias, este é o meu plano: redigir um prólogo emocionante e apelativo.Para os que me perguntaram, não, ainda não recebi mais nenhuma resposta da parte de editoras. Quanto à possibilidade de avançar por conta própria, é algo de que desisti, pelo menos de momento, e a razão é muito simples: estou desempregada. Trabalhei algumas semanas durante o Verão, porém o dinheiro que consegui não é suficiente para investir em algo deste género. O que fazer então? Tenho duas opções que irei seguir: em primeiro lugar, vou continuar à espera de feedback das editoras que contactei; em segundo, a publicação do livro por conta própria este ano está fora de questão, ou seja, está adiada. É desmotivante, mas terei que encontrar o ânimo necessário e continuar a acreditar…Entretanto, e para tornar o blogue mais dinâmico, decidi fazer algo diferente: irei apresentar novos autores do panorama literário. De momento encontro-me a ler "Grimsley Hollow - The Chosen One", de Nickie Storey-Bailey; quando concluir esta leitura, darei a minha opinião sobre o livro e farei uma pequena entrevista à autora sobre si e sobre a sua história. Se alguém estiver interessado em que faça o mesmo com um livro de sua autoria, esteja à vontade para me enviar um exemplar (em formato digital ou em papel – embora prefira o último dado os problemas de visão que tenho…) e terei muito gosto em fazê-lo.Bem, e mais novidades… não há! I know I've been publishing at Wednesdays and Saturdays the opinions I gathered about the first chapter of my book called "Perdidos". However, I don't have many more comments to add, so I'll stick their posting to Wednesday.To what conclusions I came so far? Well, in general the critics have been positive, but also some things were pointed out and that made me think. For example, the opinions of the younger readers refer that there is too much description on the chapter and they also wanted to be there more dialogue; as for the adult readers, in general they disagree and they say it's fine that way. What to do then? I decided that, in order to attenuate the amount of information that follows and to try to "grab" the reader right from the beginning, I'll write a prologue, but a very short one after all the book is too long already. For the next days, this is my plan: to write a thrilling and appealing prologue.To the ones who asked me, no, I still haven't got any more answers from publishers. As for the possibility of publishing it on my own, I gave up on that, at least for the moment, and the motive is quite simple: I'm unemployed. I worked some weeks during the summer; however the money I made is not enough to invest on something like this. What can I do then? I have two choices that I'll follow: first, I'll wait for feedback from the publishers I contacted; second, publishing the book on my own is out of question this year, meaning it's postponed. It's not motivating, but I have to find the necessary strength and continue to believe…Meantime, and to make this blog more dynamic, I decided to do something different: I'll present new writers. At the moment I'm reading "Grimsley Hollow - The Chosen One", from Nickie Storey-Bailey; when I finish this reading, I'll write my opinion about the book and I'll do a little interview to the author about herself and the story. If anyone wants me to do the same for a book of your own, feel free to send me a copy of it (e-book or paperback – although I prefer the last one, because of my eye's problems) and I'll be glad to do it.Well, there isn't any other news.
