God Is Able

God is able … three simple, powerful words. They have kept soul’s through tragedy and triumph, heart break and day break, stressful nights and wearisome days. We serve a God who both hears and answers, even in the midst of our trial.

Too often, we worry about what we’re facing, as if He didn’t know it was coming, or that somehow our God, The Creator of the Heavens, could come up short. Then, when He answers, as He always does, we stand amazed.

Sadly, too many times, He must feel amazement, not at the miracle, but that we ever doubted to begin with. As much as we’ve criticized Simon and John for the fear at the tumult of the waves, we’ve measured the water level when it got a little higher ourselves. Yet, as a Father does, He comforts our fear, and calms our storm, whether it’s internal or external.

So, listen today, not to the crashing of your waves, but to your memories. Rehearse in your mind every victory, every answer, everything we labeled a coincidence, that was really the hand of God. He will come through, because you and I know from experience that, God is able!
