Catch-22 - hilariously clever "The night was filled with horrors, and he thought he knew how Christ must have felt as he walked through the world, like a psychiatrist through a ward full of nuts, like a victim through a prison full of thieves." A must read if you need to laugh aloud!

The Annals of Imperial Rome by Tacitus

My rating: 5 of 5 stars


Tacitus is some writer: "For he would twist a word or a look into a crime and treasure it up in his memory." Recommend this read if you like history and character narrative, because he is the master of bringing to life the personalities of the Roman Empire.
