Choices

This post is for all the other writers out there who are frustrated as hell. Sorry I probably won’t be able to offer you any solid advice, but maybe my thoughts will offer you some solace, or some nugget of wisdom.

Tim Pearsall Been working since I was 16. Always dreamed of being able to write for a living, but 3 weeks ago I was given 8 weeks compulsory redundancy... and it's bloody terrifying. Now looking for another job to pay the mortgage, I don't care that much what job it is.
I generally try not to give advice, and it might seem a little off topic, but my philosophy is health over wealth. And from the Desiderata poem, 'strive to be happy'.

I'm sorry you've been forced to leave your job. That sucks. I hope you can find something at least halfway decent to pay the bills. And yes, I think "health over wealth" is a very wise philosophy. What's the point of getting a lot of money if we're killing ourselves in the process? Anyway, it's always nice to hear from you, Tim :) Best of luck with everything you're dealing with.
