« Invece di prendere coscienza del ruolo immenso che devono svolgere nella creazione, invece di partecipare all'opera del Creatore, gli esseri umani, come gli animali, si scontrano e si sbranano. Sì, perché in realtà la natura animale esiste sempre in loro sotto forma di istinti incontrollati: l'aggressività, la possessività, la sensualità ecc. Il fatto che gli esseri umani abbiano imparato a presentarsi sotto apparenze più civili non significa che si siano sbarazzati delle loro pulsioni animali. A volte, dietro l'apparenza cordiale di qualcuno che vi sorride dicendo: «Buongiorno, come sta? Che piacere incontrarla!» c'è una belva che chiede soltanto di saltarvi addosso per divorarvi. E voi stessi non vi trovate a volte in uno stato d'animo simile a questo?... Ai nostri pensieri, ai nostri sentimenti e ai nostri desideri si mescolano presenze animali, e il nostro lavoro consiste nell'addomesticarle fino a portarle a lavorare con noi in seno all'armonia cosmica. »

There are animal presences mingled with our thoughts, feelings and desires, and it is our job to tame them, until we can get them to work with us in harmony with the cosmos. »
