Out of their Depth

The fundamental social contract of a modern society is universal health care.

First, Snoop Dogg Barry Obama, and now Mr. Trump Monkey have proven themselves incapable of delivering an intelligent healthcare package for America even though the Germans have been succeeding at this since 1883.

Give the numbskulls in both parties of Congress an assist with this national disgrace.

Owlseyes David,

You should only blame the [R's ] "moderate" Tuesday group (who wanted "more" from the bill) and the "moderates" who went too far (namely, on cuts in Medicaid). Those moderates were MINORITY.

Trump's bill is dead; Obama's to "explode".

By the way, hope you didn't get "caught" in the Las Vegas Bellagio casino shooting.

David Gustafson Quite frankly, Amigo, the replacement bill was as weak, or weaker, than the ACA. Neither Congress nor The White House (past or present) has the intellectual talent for this task.

Owlseyes The US is really doomed, in your view; maybe in 2020 Hillary (or another Dem) will fix it; ....or never.

MomToKippy The only way they can "fix" it is to get the heck out of the way!! All of them.

I am not who would consider the political class nor any one particular politician as a savior.

America passed its great apogee around the time of LBJ's phony Gulf of Tonkin Resolution and the Vietnam War that it engendered. It is now going the way of all empires....down, down, down.

Robert Hobkirk It would be nice if the Germans paid what they owed for NATO according to the treaty they signed. They're only paying half. If the free loading european socialists countries with health care paid NATO what they owed, then maybe the US would have the money to take care of their medical indigents. As it is, the US doesn't. Too much socialism in the system as it is. Everyone is on one kind of welfare or another.

Rich Cali Pre-existing conditions mandate is like buying house insurance after the house catches on fire. Get rid of this mandate and insurance will come way down.
