What Next, Mr. Monkey Man?

Most civilized people, if they had a modern arsenal at their disposal, might also have considered launching a missile attack against Bashar al-Assad's lunatic regime after it had used chemical weapons against its own citizens.

The difference between civilized people and Mr. Trump Monkey is that they cannot reach deeper into their war quiver to pull out even more destructive weapons or commit thousands of ground troops to a conflict in a region that shares few, if any, common values with the American people.

The Monkey Man has the massive, All-American war machine at his personal disposal while Vlad the Impaler has his thumb on the Russian version from a much more convenient distance to the action.

The impending question is, now that you have expressed your outrage in kind, what next, Mr. Monkey Man?

Given the last half-century of American military incompetence, we doubt that anyone besides a few dunderhead generals with thunder on the brain have given the next step much serious consideration.

What next?

Owlseyes As CNN's Zacaria said ‘Donald Trump Became President of the United States’ Last Night; he's in the terrible labyrinth of war, hardly to get out.

But the "next" can be a lot worse.

Hope not.

Peter I really think he has two more months before there is an assassination attempt.

David Gustafson Amigo Owlseyes, would that we could eavesdrop on Russia's military commanders advising Putin on his options and their possible consequences as well as the consequences to Russia of not responding.

Russia will respond; it will be Lesson ner 1 On the ART of WAR, for apprentice Trump.

Russians have already started responding; check on the Admiral Grigorovich warship moves.

David Gustafson All of this begs the question, how long would Assad have lasted if the US and the EU had insisted that Saudi Arabia and Iran take responsibility for the refugees?

Putin cannot stay in power without the military. He has to listen to all of their nuances very carefully-very, very carefully.

Given the dunderheads in the US military, Trump's lack of experience in the world outside of reality television and Putin holding the reins of semi-autonomous power courtesy of his military, it will not take long for this mess to escalate out of control now that it has landed in the lap of the not-so-competent super powers.

David Gustafson One of the side benefits of this attack is watching the PC spank wankers across the US and European media walk a tightrope over their burning disdain for both Mr. Trump Monkey and Bashar al-Assad.

Meanwhile, the walking wankers are chewing on Snoop Dogg Barry Obama's, blessed be His name, "red-line-in-the-sand fatwa." Yum, yum!

This only proves that hypocrisy never fails to lay it many generous rewards at the feet of the well-seasoned cynic.

MomToKippy There is a lot of interesting commentary about all this and it's not all that crazy to think that he has set a precedent that says we are sick of this crap and we are not gonna take it anymore. We have a real red line unlike snoopy there. Perhaps this may turn out to be a smart strategic move on many fronts. Or not. One can hope.

message 10: by David (new)

David Gustafson Yes, MTK, one can hope for the best, but I have my doubts.

Another side benefit of this fiasco is that the PC spank wankers in the media are gagging on their officially approved narrative that Hillary lost the election because of Russian hacking rather than her Party of PC driving away the midwestern working class with its shrill, Nazi screed of "you are either with us or against us and we know what's best for your children better than you do."

message 11: by MomToKippy (new)

MomToKippy Yes, this move ticks a lot of interesting boxes.

Back to the Russians, and how they see the US strike: "a pretext for invasion"*, says Alexander Dugin. Maybe, he's somehow right. So, they will act accordingly. No "red-line" for them.

David Gustafson Invasion, Amigo? Not very likely, but not entirely impossible.

Unfortunately, when the massive American arsenal is put at the disposal of imbeciles such as LBJ, Nixon and G.W.Bush, these drooling fools suddenly freeze in their tracks, stop thinking and let their limbic responses take command.

Fortunately, after he drew his famous red line in the sand, Snoop Dogg Barry Obama, blessed be His name, turned coward and pissed his pants according to his family's limbic DNA.

The last half-century, from Vietnam to Afghanistan to Iraq has proven that it is in the interest of the American people to dramatically reduce the defense budget in order to remove these dangerous tools from the little boys' sand box.

It is always the children of the working class who end up dying in the field for the vanities of these idiots and a handful of kiss-ass generals completely out of their class with world history.

message 14: by Michael (new)

Michael Perkins This investigative book reports why Obama erased the red line. At the time, he was in secret negotiations with Iran over the nuclear pact and Iran made it a condition that the U.S. not meddle in Syria. Iran wanted to protect its fellow Shia, Assad.

"Invasion" ???! get ready for a few surprises in the next coming weeks.

message 17: by David (new)

David Gustafson Michael,

Yes, the Iranians got Snoop Dogg's protection to proceed with their nuclear program.

A great deal for the free world!

Owlseyes

So nice, they're free to take you hostage....OR NUKE YOU.
Even nicer when the Iranian regime gets a bonus, from YOUR [the Americans'] POCKET, of $100 billion dollars. Wow!!
[Of course these lines are satirical; truly, the Obama deal with the Iranians was terrible; "bad" as I wrote earlier].

message 19: by MomToKippy (new)

MomToKippy Isn't it interesting that we gave them 150 bill and they are also funding Syria? So one could conclude....

message 20: by David (new)

David Gustafson Syria is nothing but a proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia. As I mentioned earlier, if six years ago the US and the EU had had the cojones to insist that Syrian refugees would be the sole responsibility of Iran and the Saudis, there would be another government in Damascus today.

Unfortunately, Snoop Dogg Barry Obama wet his pants instead.

message 21: by Robert (new)

Robert Hobkirk The US sold chemical weapons to Iraq and used against Iran. Where was the feigned outrage then?

Asad is Shia. 70% of Syria is Suni, so they have a civil war. In a civil war, the leader will kill his own people (this is where MSM makes you gasp). Ask Abraham Lincoln.

Obama thought he could get a pro-American government in Syria with the uprising. (Syria had long been pro-Russian). So Obama and the MSM started their propaganda campaign agains Ashad. The first casualty of war is the truth.

My position: Suni and Shias will have to learn to live with each other. They aren't worth American lives or treasure.

I absolutely agree with this, Robert.
