Italian trio Soviet Soviet take a broad, fresh view of the post-punk genre, ignoring timestamps and geographic restrictions to assemble a specimen uniquely theirs. Today they share new video "Endless Beauty" which debuted over at Brooklyn Vegan.  Italian Director Giulio Letizi blended what looks to be 60's stock footage along with live footage of the band to create what he calls a colorful surfing experience.
The bands explains, "We love this concept and these images complementing our music. We shot the live images of the band inside an old cinema where we are from in Pesaro, Italy. 'Endless Beauty' reminds us of this kind of imagery - the beach, the surfers and days at the beach. We live in a coast city and love the sea."
Soviet Soviet have announced tour dates in North America which includes a stop in Austin for their label's SxSw festival showcase, felte, who is co-presenting with Part Time Punks. Endless is the result of a very long, well thought out process marked by experimentation and innovation yet still tied to their instinctive style of interpreting and performing music. It's an intense story, one that is marked by purity and which talks of the past - an introspective, personal learning experience - a moment of reflection as well as a metamorphosis and a new beginning in life.
