[image error] Today, The Avalanches announced two U.S. headline dates - April 18 at Mezzanine in San Francisco and April 19 at Los Angeles' Fonda Theatre. Tickets for San Francisco will go on sale February 17 at 10am Pacific HERE, while tickets for the Los Angeles show will go on sale February 24 at 12pm Pacific HERE. The shows fall between the band's two Coachella performances (April 15 and 22). While in the States, The Avalanches will also open for Empire Of The Sun in Las Vegas and Reno and play New York City's Governors Ball Music Festival. The spring dates mark the Australian band's first-ever U.S. live shows. This approach set a precedent for dance music, inspiring the generation of musicians and producers that followed.Released in Australia in 2000 and in the U.S. and the U.K. in 2001, Since I Left You  placed in the Top 10 of Pitchfork's Top 200 Albums of the 2000s and in the Top 20 of Rolling Stone's Greatest EDM Albums of All Time.
