Dr Motsoaledi and the new national health insurance plan

Dr Aaron Motsoaledi presents green paper on the national health insurance (NHI) scheme, which is mandatory health coverage that aims to give all citizens of a nation access to healthcare, regardless of their income level. It would be funded in part by extra contributions by employers and people who earned above a certain threshold. It is felt that national health insurance (NHI) scheme will fail if the country’s public hospitals continue to function as badly as they currently do.
