The Shape of the Novel

Great to read your thoughts; you certainly cover the universe of possible "shapes'' here. Personally, I prefer the more realistic model of your own work, and Mr. Kiefer's, but you've piqued my curiosity about the other genres/styles, even if I'm less likely to devote the necessary time/energy to explore them...
