Legacy Of Dreams

As a young man, I was privileged to read the biography of Dr King’s father.  I knew of the incredible history of Dr King, but not his legacy.  It should be no surprise that the man who said “I have a dream”, was raised by someone who inspired that goal.

Today, we celebrate the life of Dr King, his father, and his family.  We look to his life, and his dream, to inspire our own.  For he was inspired by others. Dr King completed their dreams by communicating both his, and theirs, to the next generation.

Who, in your life today, needs a dream to pursue, or a legacy to inspire them?  Speak into their life today, reflect God’s love, character, and grace in a human vessel. Much like The Christ, who stood on Mount Calvary, so that Dr King could stand on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.  As God’s mercy reflected in the lives of these, let us also reflect a legacy of dreams.
