A year on

A year has gone by and I realise I have posted nothing further on this site. I have also not written anything really new except the first few chapters of my new novel, Risk Free, which is a story about corporate greed. I started it as a November NaNoWriMo novel, plan to launch a big effort in Feb to progress. However I have done a heap of work editing previous novels - with new covers and hence a new version of my previous 'The Old Balmain House' novel with new covers that I love designed by Nada Backovic. Previous version was an ebook bestseller on Amazon in Australian historical fiction for much of 2016, (thank to Amazon for support). I am now planning a book launch for this renamed book in local Sydney bookshops in February 2017, with others in series to follow later in year.

Enough about my writing. I continue to enjoy reading and particularly have developed a taste for English Fiction - having loved books by Katherine Webb - particularly 'Half Forgotten Song'. Two other good reads over Christmas were 'The Dry' by Jane Harper -loved the descriptions of austere Oz landscape, and 'I See You' by Claire Mackintosh, a gripping story about how information on social media can be used by predators. This year I will turn my attention more to North American Fiction - keen to hear from others about what they think is best new dramatic writing.
