A Thank You Note

If I were to compare writing this book series "Miss Tree Tales" to something, I would say it has been similar to growing a tree.
I am forever grateful to my parents who sowed the seeds that cultivated a love of nature and the values of resourcefulness and conservation which in due course sprouted out as an idea to write this book through which I aim to plant similar seeds of thoughts in young minds. The enriching childhood experiences nurtured by my extended family in a wonderful habitat, where sustainability was not just a buzzword but was simply a way of living, provided the ground and space needed for this work.
Just as a tree needs roots, I am thankful to all the folks who have rooted for me, taken the time to read my blogs and articles, and presented words of encouragement and constructive feedback. It is not quite possible to name all but I have to mention the strongest supporters - my brother-in-law, Govindaraj, co-sister, Bindu, brother, Dileep, and sister-in-law, Bindya. A special thanks to Bindya who was the first to read the entire draft of this book and prompt me to move forward and branch out. The branch led me to my illustrator. A dull looking tree was transformed into a beautiful spring blossom by the illustrations and tips from Anjana, my tech-savvy artist cousin.
With all the storms in life, it is a surprise the tree still stands. Thanks to the strong supporting trunk, the steady unshakable resolve of my husband. Without his guidance to put the right amount of focus and balance into tasks and his suggestions for printing and publishing, the draft would have rotted away in a corner of our attic.
Now, you may think what else does a tree need? Light! This book would not have seen light without the lights of my life - my kiddos - my cheering squad always ready to lift me up by brightening dark and gloomy days.
It feels wonderful to finally put forth the fruits of the efforts and I am grateful to all my readers who have picked up this book. I hope you will shower your support adding in fresh drops of water to make the tree grow and also provide feedback to prune the tree as needed. As you fly away, I hope you carry some seeds of thoughts from this book and spread them wherever the wind takes you.
