It’s going to be a long night… End of the Road #8sunday #snippetsunday

Welcome to Snippet Sunday! This is a snippet from End of the Road, a WIP ghost story/rock star/mystery romance.

About this snippet: Chapter One (Don't Fear) The Reaper Snippet 2

Jumping ahead a few paragraphs. Cecilia has been trying to reach her mother, who is a rock star, a bit messed up, and not answering her phone.

This story is a WIP. The story is in the very early stages and has not been edited.

She glanced at her phone again and cursed as she grabbed her car keys and headed outside of her apartment and to her dark green BMW parked in the assigned parking spot. Once her car purred to life, she headed out to the highway. It was only eight o'clock but she had a hunch it was going to be a long night.

It had been three days since she heard from her mother who at least would text her with 'Thinking of you, babe' if she couldn't pick up and have a decent conversation. Her mother's annual drunken binge was her way of remembering the good old days with dear-ole-dad, which was such a laugh. The night her father died, he told her mother he was going to divorce her. It's why the crazy conspiracy theorist kept on insisting her mother had something to do with her father's death.

If one more reported hunted her down and ask her if she knew if her mother was responsible, she might have to prove to the world she was indeed her father's daughter and deck someone.

When arrived at the house, where she only lived until she was old enough to go off to boarding school, she parked in the driveway void of any cars, but it didn't mean her mother wasn't at home. Her mother usually called a limo if she wanted to go out and hadn't owned a vehicle in years.
