Random Update
Hi Everyone,
I have been getting a lot of good reviews for Knight of Swords and The Devil You Know. I will be posting links to them all on my blog in the near future, so watch this space.
I am just finishing edits on my novella, The Kidnapper, formerly known as The Art of Retaliation and getting ready to send it to a publisher for consideration.
I've got a few projects planned. Thought I might try my hand at murder mystery and set it the Lake District. Those hills and quaint slate villages had my mind buzzing with story ideas when I stayed there a couple of weeks ago. You can let me know what you think when I post my efforts on the blog in the future.
It's also high time I updated The Vampire Lover's Diary, Knight of Coins and got The Sword Series finished. So again, watch this space for updates and some new features I am planning.
Before I go, thought I would share a random horror story from my life with you. Lol. I went to bed early the other day but was disturbed by a rustling and a tapping noise. I got up and tried to find out what it was knowing that it came from across the room to the side of the bed. Having no luck and beginning to wonder if there was some weird poltergeist activity going on, lol, I got my husband in to investigate. We sat like lemmings on the bed listening for this noise but it stopped. The moment he left the room having given up, it started again.
I was getting pretty frustrated at this point. I started moving around some shopping bags containing clothes I hadn't unpacked yet to see if anything was underneath them. Nothing. Husband comes back in and moves the bags as well when I decide we should be looking for a moth that's got in the room through an open window.
He picked up my fancy Wolford bag and let out a shriek. 'Don't look, and don't ask what it is,' he shouted flinging the bag away across the foor. I gave a shout and lifted my bare feet on the bed. If he was saying don't ask it could only mean one thing! My worst fear, my worst nightmare SPIDER and by the way he was going on it was massive. He reached for one of my shoes and banged down hard on the floor with it but he hadn't got it because a couple more bangs followed. Finally he stood up and gave a shudder announcing that it was the biggest spider he had ever seen. All of the rustling was the spider tapping on the side of the bag as it moved around inside it. It was so loud it might as well have had clogs on!!!
How was I supposed to sleep knowing that had been crawling around in there next to the bed? What if it had a mate? They always have friends and hunt in twos!!! Thankfully, I haven't seen it's mate yet but I am still watching and waiting in fear with a sturdy shoe to hand.
