beautiful, round, jolly and articulate black man in a blue sweatshirt talking to himself (and occasionally to a puzzled stranger across from him), smiling and in fact cracking himself up before growing sober, and then laughing again, on and on like this, hands animated with both wrists covered in hospital bracelets. i wish i could hear what he’s saying.
