Andrew Holleran’s truly brilliant Chronicle of a Plague begins with a foreword describing how the original edition of the book, Ground Zero, had languished into obscurity, almost un-findable, and how strange he felt creating an updated version of a forgotten book. So it’s interesting and a bit troubling to see that updated book now (which is so goddamn good, people) listed on Amazon as a kind of rarity. Meanwhile, Ground Zero is like $0.01.
