New Nocturnal Surrender Series WIP on Wattpad and Other Wacky News

Picture New Book on Wattpad That's right, I decided to try something a little different with the next Nocturnal Surrender Series novel. I am still in the process of writing this book but decided to begin putting the finished - unedited - chapters up on wattpad . This is a bit of an experiment, and just how many chapters I put up on the site will depend on how things go. I am not showing the tentative cover here, but you will see it over on wattpad.

Because the series has an ongoing arc throughout, it would be best if you've read the other books in the series, but it isn't necessary in order to enjoy the novel I am currently writing. Each book deals with a different couple within the Nocturnal Surrender world and has it's own conclusive ending for the couple. These are erotic vampire romance books, after all. The only exception is the prequel novella, Nothing Lasts Forever, which is a romantic tragedy. Other Books in the Series To learn more about the series, and for purchase links, visit the series page . Want Exclusive Content? I am currently in the process of revamping my Newsletter . Soon, more exclusive content will be available through it than ever before, even a FREE book or two in the near future. I hope to have all this in place by the start of the new year, maybe sooner if I can kick myself in the butt to get moving faster. With the holidays coming, that may be easier said than done.

The Misadventures of the Clumsy Writer Unfortunately, I haven't done as much writing as I had planned. I was sidelined most of the summer from a broken wrist and hand. Kind of hard to write when you only have one typing hand. Hunting and pecking is not my thing. I'm usually pretty quick at typing, although, I have no idea what my words per minute are anymore.

Sure, I could have handwritten some things, and I actually did make a few notes for my current Nocturnal Surrender Series WIP, but I can only manage a few pages of handwriting a story before my writing gets too sloppy even for me to read.

So how did I break these bones?

Picture this... Clumsy writer + new pressure washer + dirty vehicle = tripping hazard.

The worst part was, I was trying to move the hose out of the way so I wouldn't trip, and that's when I did trip. I knew on my way down it wasn't going to end well. My left hand took the brunt of the impact. Snap, crack, pain, and the rest is history. I really don't think my wrist should have been able to bend as far back as it did without snapping off. On the bright side, I didn't need surgery like they first told me I would. So, yeah me!

Lessons learned:

1)  Do not let the clumsy writer around any trip hazards.

2)  Do not give the clumsy writer power tools of any kind.

3)  If you are going to trip and fall, try landing on your butt instead of your hand. There's far more cushioning in the butt.

4)  Just do not go outside of the house at all. It's way too dangerous out there for the clumsy writer.

Really, I did a lot of sitting on my behind over the summer because of these broken bones. Thank goodness for Netflix. It wasn't just my writing career that got left behind. I couldn't do any of my hobbies, either. I did go for walks, though, when it wasn't too stinking hot outside, which usually ended up having to be around eight or nine at night. At least the deer and turkeys were out a lot then.

Now, I'm finally getting back on track with everything, especially with my writing, so stay tuned to see all the exciting things I have planned for my books, this blog, and my Newsletter . Before you go, be sure to sign up for both. You can subscribe to this blog up at the top right corner so you don't miss out on any of my misadventures.
