Book Updates During the Pandemic, Including Massive Multi-Author Sale!

First of all, I hope everyone is staying safe and following whatever protocol is happening in your area. Here in southwestern PA - actually the entire state - we are on a shutdown of sorts. Only life sustaining businesses are to be open.
Since I'm a psychotherapist for my day job, it puts me squarely in that category, but we are lucky enough to be able to work from home for now.
The only problem is, we're using new techniques and new technology - at least, new to us - and it is making far more work for us.
This means that my writing is back on hold again for a little while.
If you subscribe to my Newsletter , then you've already heard that I wasn't writing for about a month due to having bronchitis. Well, working from home is going to set me back again, but hopefully no more than another month. Upcoming Erotica
These are the two short erotic stories I was working on before everything hit. I will finish them and get them out for you as soon as things let up some. Hopefully, I can have them ready to go by the end of April, if not sooner. Hang in there. It won't be too long. Upcoming Novels

My Viking Obsession & Book Inspiration! (and an update on the strange emails you may have gotten recently from my blog)
Update first...
If you are a newsletter subscriber, I'm sorry for the strange emails you have probably received recently from my blog. I'm working on integrating my blog with my newsletter, and as with most things I try figuring out for the first time, it's glitching. You've probably gotten random old and new blog posts, but this is the most recent post. Watch this one not come through right, though. lol
I'm hoping the glitches are over, but if not, I'll go in and disable this function so you're not continuously bombarded with old blog posts of mine. If this works out, you should only receive an extra one or two emails per month, at most, from the blog. Usually it will be less frequent than that.
Important notice: It looks like some of the pictures and other goodies won't show right in the email version, so be sure to click the read more option to be taken to my blog to read the post as it should be. Also, the email version will be clipped, not the entire blog post, so you will need to come to my blog to see the complete post.
Hopefully, it all works out, and I apologize again for the extra random emails.

As usual, I'm a little late to the party. I only recently started watching Vikings and The Last Kingdom. I know, I know. What's wrong with me? Thank goodness for Netflix and Amazon Prime so I can see everything I missed. And, of course, now I'm hooked.
But I can't decide who I love more, and I need your help. Ragnar Lothbrok (the Ragnar from Vikings) or Uhtred (from The Last Kingdom)? Yes, I know that Uhtred isn't a Dane by blood, but it seems like deep down he truly is one.
Oh, and don't even get me started on the sons of Ragnar. I may have to do a separate post about them at some point. There's just too much deliciousness not to.

How could anyone choose?

It's just not fair. We need them both on one show.
Wait a minute. Why choose? They could be the start of an amazing reverse harem.
As for the shows themselves. I love them both the same, but do you have a favorite?
All of this gorgeous man-candy has inspired a new book series I'm working on, and no, it's not my reverse harem series. I've wanted to write some sci-fi romances for a while, and what better inspiration for the characters than the vikings on these shows?
Of course, one of the heroes will be modeled after Uhtred and one after Ragnar, with many more to come. The series is tentatively called Intergalactic Raiders, and I am very excited about it. It will be a novel series, but I may also have to add to my erotica short stories with some hot vikings taking the women they desire.
For the first sci-fi romance novel, I need your help!

Revamping my website and books!
If you've checked out my website recently - at least more than this page - you'll see that I've been doing a little remodeling here and there. Or maybe the changes I've made were so subtle that you didn't even notice, but hopefully you did. There is a different banner at the top of the pages and different backgrounds, as well. It was just time to fancy up the place a little bit. If you can tell the difference, I hope you like it.
And there's even a little something new on the EXTRAS page. Head over there to see who some of my favorite authors are. Now...let's talk about the books, baby!
If you looked closely at the new banner up at the top of the page, you'll have noticed that I'm working on many different sub-genres of erotic romance, as well as my new erotica line under the name D.L. Pearl. I'm trying to get some of these books written for release next year. First on that list is my new fantasy reverse harem series, The Diamoneria Series .
As you can see, the tentative covers are done, but they may change as time goes on. I prefer to have the covers ready early, to help with inspiration when writing the stories.

I'm Now Writing Short Erotic Stories!
Yep, that's right. I've started writing short erotica as well as my full-length erotic romance novels. It's an idea I've been tossing around for a while now, and I decided to just jump in.
For the most part, these short erotic stories are completely different than my novels. Some of the first erotica stories that I'm releasing are in my Bred in Space series, meaning these are breeding, pregnancy, and birthing short stories all with a twist due to the changes their bodies have gone through from being in space for so long.
Oh, and as you can see, I'm using a slightly different pen name for these to distinguish them from my romance novels. These short stories will all be written under the name D. L. Pearl.
Besides the series above, which there will be more books for soon, I've also started a Birthing Erotica series. Again, as the name suggests, these stories deal with labor and delivery in an eroticized way. For now, there are three books almost ready to go, with more planned. The third one is still in the early stages of being written, which is why the title is in question.
I've also started some hotwife shorts that I haven't gotten covers for yet but hope to have those going soon. I have a few other ideas I might want to explore as well, but will wait until I'm sure before discussing them.
To check out what I have so far, just go to the Erotica Page under the books tab. There you will find blurbs for the above books and purchase links to the ones that are live already.
These books may not end up on Amazon due to the taboo nature of some of the content. The last thing I want is to have my account banned for questionable content.

A Discussion About Anne Rice’s Newest Lestat Book, Blood Communion
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
(If you haven’t read the book, you might want to leave now—and check out my books !)
Still here? Good. Let's talk about an amazing book. I just finished reading the newest Lestat book, Blood Communion, by Anne Rice, and while the beginning felt somewhat slow to me, by the end, I couldn’t put the book down. Literally. I read until my eyes were sore and blurry, but I had to finish it.
This isn’t technically a review. As an author, I don’t believe in reviewing other authors’ books. It's just a silly quirk I have. Maybe it’s a good thing, maybe it’s not. Either way, I had to discuss this book. That’s what I’m calling this, a discussion, not a review. Hopefully, we can have a good discussion about it in the comments.
Anyway, my take on the book is that it would be a fitting end to the series if she chose for it to be. In the middle, though, I was in shock. Yes, I hoped it would turn out how it did in the end, but the thought that Louis might really be dead ripped my heart out. Of course, I was sad for Lestat to possibly lose his mother, and the loss of Marius was a tough one, but Louis… No! How could Louis be taken away from Lestat after all they had been through? I had to keep reading to find out if they were possibly still alive, if Louis was alive. Then to finally get my hopes up that maybe he really was alive and would be okay only to find out that what Rosh had done to him and the others might be permanent… I almost couldn’t take it. Still, I read on. I had to.
Thankfully, Anne didn’t keep us in suspense long in that regard. When Marius finally stirred on his own, my heart fired back to life. From there on, it was a whirlwind. I couldn’t stop reading. It was beautiful, emotional, and when Lestat grabbed Louis to dance, my heart raced.
I did want more sensuality out of that scene than what we were given, though we did have some. I even played out in my mind how I wanted it to be—after I finished the book, that is. I couldn’t help but write it how I wanted it be, as well. It's a short fan-fic scene, so to speak, that you will find below. I hope you like it and I hope I did it justice.
Then, at the end, there was the inevitable crash. The realization that there was no more story, and that there might never be anymore. I’m not sure if Anne intends to continue the series, but like I said before, the ending of Blood Communion felt like the perfect conclusion to the series, even if I never want it to end.
Here is my version of part of the dance scene.As we danced, Louis slowly became at ease with our closeness, the intimacy of our bodies coming together as one. He relaxed into me, molding his body to mine in such a sensual manner that it actually surprised me. Maybe he had been waiting for a moment like this just as I had been. Maybe he wanted to feel my body pressed to his, to feel the love flowing between us. To put the past behind us once and for all and to go forward in this magnificent immortal life as the lovers we were truly meant to be.
Who would have thought that I, the vampire Lestat, would find peace and happiness with my Louis by my side?
But here we were, locked in this lovers’ dance, this dizzying rush of emotions. I clung to him desperately, his embrace just as tight. It didn’t matter that we were surrounded by so many others. They merely disappeared into the night until all that was left was me and Louis and the music our bodies moved in time with, came apart and crashed together with.
We were finally locked together for all eternity.
I eased my hand into his long hair and coaxed him to look at me, to see me completely. Those mesmerizing eyes of his drew me in. Ah, and his lips, so full, so soft, so enticing… I had never wanted to kiss him so badly. A true lovers’ kiss.
As I pulled him to me, he didn’t resist. He had to know what was coming and he didn’t fight me on it. And when our lips met, it was different than any time before. The kiss was full and deep, our tongues dancing close just as our bodies were. The taste of him filled me. The passion flowing between us lifted me into the clouds to soar higher than ever before.
He was mine now and always would be.
When I came back down to earth and eased away from him, the light shining in his eyes, the grin spreading across his face warmed my heart. I smiled back and caressed his cheek.
He looked around the room as if only now remembering we were in the middle of so many others.
I laughed to see all eyes trained on us and our little spectacle. It must have been such a sight for them to see their Prince and his lover locked in such a provocative display in such a public setting.
The flush in Louis’ face gave away his embarrassment. He hung his head.
Immediately, I lifted his chin and shook my head. “There will be none of that.” I wouldn’t have it. No shame, no regret.
The time for regrets was over.
“Only you would put on a show like this.” Louis pushed my hand away. “And I fell under your spell once more.”
But he couldn’t hide the fire burning in his eyes when he looked at me. Yes, I knew he worried what everyone was thinking, hated having those gazes boring into him, but I finally allowed myself to revel in it.
“Ah, my dear Louis, we have always been under each other’s spell. And so it should be.” As I turned to walk away, the most mischievous notion came to me and I couldn’t resist acting on it. I reached back and swatted his bottom. “Might as well give them one last spectacle.” I winked and made my way back to my throne.
Louis hadn’t budged from his spot in the middle of the throng. This time he held his head high, still the faintest blush lingered upon his cheeks. Finally, he sighed deeply and made his way toward me, his eyes fixed on mine with a seductive intensity that burned into me.
Was I in trouble? Probably. Wasn’t I always? Yes, but it was what made life interesting, and I was certain things with Louis were about to become just that. Well, once we were alone later, at least.
For now, he took his place beside me. Exactly where he should be. “This isn’t over, you know.”
“Oh, Louis, I am counting on exactly that.” I sat back and contemplated all the possibilities that lay in front of us while the others went back to their dance. Taking his hand in mine, I said, “We both know it will never be over between us.”
I hope you liked my little scene. I wanted to do more with the kiss, to make it more sexual, but somehow that didn’t feel right. It was almost as if Lestat was telling me he didn’t want to do that with Louis in front of everyone.
Oh well. I know characters tend to take control and not do what we want them to sometimes. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Lestat.

Of course, I was sad for Lestat to possibly lose his mother, and the loss of Marius was a tough one, but Louis… No! How could Louis be taken away from Lestat after all they had been through? [image error]
I had to keep reading to find out if they were possibly still alive, if Louis was alive. Then to finally get my hopes up that maybe he really was alive and would be okay only to find out that what Rosh had done to him and the others might be permanent… I almost couldn’t take it. Still, I read on. I had to.Thankfully, Anne didn’t keep us in suspense long in that regard. When Marius finally stirred on his own, my heart fired back to life. From there on, it was a whirlwind. I couldn’t stop reading. It was beautiful, emotional, and when Lestat grabbed Louis to dance, my heart raced.
I did want more sensuality out of that scene than what we were given, though we did have some. I even played out in my mind how I wanted it to be—after I finished the book, that is. I couldn’t help but write it how I wanted it be, as well. It's a short fan-fic scene, so to speak, that you will find below. I hope you like it and I hope I did it justice.
Then, at the end, there was the inevitable crash. The realization that there was no more story, and that there might never be anymore. I’m not sure if Anne intends to continue the series, but like I said before, the ending of Blood Communion felt like the perfect conclusion to the series, even if I never want it to end.
Here is my version of part of the dance scene.As we danced, Louis slowly became at ease with our closeness, the intimacy of our bodies coming together as one. He relaxed into me, molding his body to mine in such a sensual manner that it actually surprised me. Maybe he had been waiting for a moment like this just as I had been. Maybe he wanted to feel my body pressed to his, to feel the love flowing between us. To put the past behind us once and for all and to go forward in this magnificent immortal life as the lovers we were truly meant to be.Who would have thought that I, the vampire Lestat, would find peace and happiness with my Louis by my side?
But here we were, locked in this lovers’ dance, this dizzying rush of emotions. I clung to him desperately, his embrace just as tight. It didn’t matter that we were surrounded by so many others. They merely disappeared into the night until all that was left was me and Louis and the music our bodies moved in time with, came apart and crashed together with.
We were finally locked together for all eternity.
I eased my hand into his long hair and coaxed him to look at me, to see me completely. Those mesmerizing eyes of his drew me in. Ah, and his lips, so full, so soft, so enticing… I had never wanted to kiss him so badly. A true lovers’ kiss.
As I pulled him to me, he didn’t resist. He had to know what was coming and he didn’t fight me on it. And when our lips met, it was different than any time before. The kiss was full and deep, our tongues dancing close just as our bodies were. The taste of him filled me. The passion flowing between us lifted me into the clouds to soar higher than ever before.
He was mine now and always would be.
When I came back down to earth and eased away from him, the light shining in his eyes, the grin spreading across his face warmed my heart. I smiled back and caressed his cheek.
He looked around the room as if only now remembering we were in the middle of so many others.
I laughed to see all eyes trained on us and our little spectacle. It must have been such a sight for them to see their Prince and his lover locked in such a provocative display in such a public setting.
The flush in Louis’ face gave away his embarrassment. He hung his head.
Immediately, I lifted his chin and shook my head. “There will be none of that.” I wouldn’t have it. No shame, no regret.
The time for regrets was over.
“Only you would put on a show like this.” Louis pushed my hand away. “And I fell under your spell once more.”
But he couldn’t hide the fire burning in his eyes when he looked at me. Yes, I knew he worried what everyone was thinking, hated having those gazes boring into him, but I finally allowed myself to revel in it.
“Ah, my dear Louis, we have always been under each other’s spell. And so it should be.” As I turned to walk away, the most mischievous notion came to me and I couldn’t resist acting on it. I reached back and swatted his bottom. “Might as well give them one last spectacle.” I winked and made my way back to my throne.
Louis hadn’t budged from his spot in the middle of the throng. This time he held his head high, still the faintest blush lingered upon his cheeks. Finally, he sighed deeply and made his way toward me, his eyes fixed on mine with a seductive intensity that burned into me.
Was I in trouble? Probably. Wasn’t I always? Yes, but it was what made life interesting, and I was certain things with Louis were about to become just that. Well, once we were alone later, at least.
For now, he took his place beside me. Exactly where he should be. “This isn’t over, you know.”
“Oh, Louis, I am counting on exactly that.” I sat back and contemplated all the possibilities that lay in front of us while the others went back to their dance. Taking his hand in mine, I said, “We both know it will never be over between us.”
I hope you liked my little scene. I wanted to do more with the kiss, to make it more sexual, but somehow that didn’t feel right. It was almost as if Lestat was telling me he didn’t want to do that with Louis in front of everyone.Oh well. I know characters tend to take control and not do what we want them to sometimes. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Lestat.

If she knew what he was going through she wouldn’t have ignored him. He believed that in his heart. It helped give him the strength to stay put and not go on a killing spree.
Besides, innocent deaths wouldn’t make him feel better. Hell, it would probably backfire and make him feel even shittier. He didn’t need any more nightmares to fight.
No. He was better off staying put and fighting off sleep some other way. And hoping he had no more ghostly visitors.
His vision of Shelly made him hard instantly, and a long, deep moan escaped his lips. It seemed so real, as if she truly was sitting astride him, grinding into him. “Shelly, love. I need you so.”
The feel of her body atop his, molding to his, was all he needed to pretend none of those nightmares existed. He wanted so badly for this to be real, but he would gladly settle for the illusion and hold onto it for as long as possible.
Her soft hand stroked his cheek. “It’s not Shelly, love. It’s Elise.”
His eyes snapped open. The redhead sitting on his lap wasn’t Rochelle.
It was Elise.
He sat frozen, terrified. His blood ran cold, his heart pounding so fast he thought it might explode.
Hallucinating again. That was all it could be. Leftover effects from the Rage.
He’d never consumed so much before.
Lightheaded, dizzy. The room spun along with his head.
“You’re not real. You weren’t before, and you aren’t now.” He squeezed his eyes closed, knowing when he opened them the apparition would be gone.
“Good choice of wording, love. Apparition. Ghost. Maybe that is what I am, otherwise, how could I do this?”
He peered through slitted eyes, afraid of fully opening them. She held her decapitated head in her hand, blood streaming from her neck, both on her body and over her hand. Her white dress streaked with blood the same as it had the day he’d killed her. He slammed his eyes closed.
He shook his head violently. “No. This isn’t real. I’m just hallucinating.” The fact that she’d read his mind made him certain. Surely a ghost couldn’t do such a thing.
He reminded himself that ghosts didn’t exist. He summoned the strength to open his eyes to glare at the hallucination.
“Vampires aren’t real either, love.” Her disembodied head spoke to him.
A shock of terror rolled up his spine. “Stop saying that word like that.”
“But it is how you speak to the women in your life. I quite like it. Too bad I’ll never be able to use it with the man I love.” She twisted her hand back and forth, making her head shake slowly. “I’ve learned much over the last few months since my Bastian released my soul from that wretched dungeon where you killed me. I’ve watched all of you, learned your ways.”
She placed her head back on her body, and he released a long breath, some of the tension draining from him. The blood disappeared from her, too.
He reminded himself it was only the Rage. The hallucinations would stop soon. He could get through this.
He closed his eyes, his head relaxing into the back of the sofa.
A petite hand gripped his chin firmly, yanking his head up.
“Did that feel like a hallucination?” Her hand slithered down his neck and chest, and she rolled her hips atop him, feigning riding him once more. “You are no substitute for my Bastian, but you saw to it that he had no choice but to move on. He loves another now, maybe even more so than he ever loved me.”
Christof stared into her eyes. The pain in her emerald gaze melted his heart. “I…I don’t know what to say. I never wanted to hurt you this way, but you betrayed us…to a Hunter.”
She stilled her hips and slapped his face. “To my brother, whom I believed I could trust. I had no idea he was one of these Hunters. That was the only reason I kept it a secret from my Bastian. I thought all of Jacob’s talk of hunting vampires was some silly game, told like ghost stories.” She giggled. “Ghost stories. That is funny, isn’t it, love? Anyway, I had only learned vampires were real not long before you did this to me.”
She grabbed her head once more, tilting it to the side, opening a gaping wound dripping with blood. “I spent two hundred years trapped in that dungeon, plotting my revenge, just as I now know my Bastian had done during his punishment of isolation after you turned him in.” She snapped her head back in place. Her eyes began to glow with an anger he’d never seen before. “Where he failed, love, I promise you I will not.”
She leaned closer, her stare locked onto his neck. Fangs grew inside her mouth, longer and more deadly than any vampire’s.
He pushed at her but couldn’t move her. He tried to throw her off him, to bolt away from her, but she was too strong.
“Am I, love…or am I just messing with your mind?” She lunged at his throat, but instead of those daggers in her mouth shredding him, her entire body dissolved into nothing, leaving an icy chill in her wake. Grab Your Copy Now
