I'm number 1! Happy dance of joy! Plus cover reveal...
I've managed to write like a speed demon recently and completed 3 books in 3 weeks. I've found my most popular stories are around the 20,000 word mark so that's what I've been concentrating on. I expected longer novels of 40,000+ words to sell the best but that's not been the case. In three weeks I've managed to get Desired by the Duke, Dark Desires and The Duke and His Little finished. I'm working on the next one and as a teaser, here's the provisional cover for you...
Dark Desires is currently number 1 in the UK and The Duke and His Little debuted at number 1 thanks to you all! The pic above shows the chart in the UK right this minute. Dark Desires at #1, The Duke and His Little at #5, the two of them also #1 and #3 in the hot new releases. I love writing historical age play and it's gratifying to see so many people out there enjoy reading these stories! The pic below shows the chart when The Duke and His Little debuted.
The Duke and His Little, 24,000 words of darkly provocative Regency romance. In this battle between two sworn enemies, lust mingles with anger but when anger becomes violence and violence threatens lives, how far is too far in the quest for vengeance?
A broken daughter...
When Lady Christine Bouchier's parents died, she thought their cruelty died with them. But when their will is read out, she realises they have struck one final blow from beyond the grave. To gain her inheritance, she must fulfil her childhood vow and marry the Duke of Malton.
A damaged Lord.
Lord James Thaw, Duke of Malton does not even remember the childhood pledge he made. But when the will spells it out for him, he is faced with honouring his promise to marry the Bouchier girl. Having no intention of settling down, he sets about pushing Christine away with well practised cruelty. But as she appears happy to submit to whatever he demands of her, he quickly realises that if he is to be regain his freedom, he must go deeper into the depths of depravity than he ever dared before.
Christine puts up with his ever worsening behaviour in the hope of gaining her inheritance but when he pushes her too far, she is forced to make a decision. Will she leave James forever and forfeit her fortune or risk her life to help him see that it is not bitterness nor solitude that he needs, but to open his heart and let love in?
Dark Desires
Desired by the DukeDesired by the Duke
25,000 words of dark Regency romance set in the Yorkshire seaside resort of Whitby and inspired by a trip on the North York Moors steam railway.
Whitby, 1835
Running for her life, Lady Eleanor Risby is forced to leave the noble life behind in a desperate effort to escape the men who killed her parents and are hunting for her. Her only hope lies in the house of the one man she can trust, a man she vowed never to speak to again.
The last thing the Duke of Ryedale needed was a reminder of the life he left behind, a world of wealth and privilege that has neither forgotten nor forgiven his crimes. But as the very first steam train heads towards Whitby, it brings with it the woman he's spent a lifetime trying to forget.
Bound by a childhood vow, the Duke promises Eleanor she will be safe with him. But when she discovers the truth about his new life, she must make a decision. Will she leave his side and risk both their lives or remain in his care and accept the Duke's dark desires?
If you would like a free copy of this or any other of my books in return for leaving me an honest review on Amazon, feel free to get in touch via email at contact@wildromance.co.ukDark Desires, the darkest thing I've ever written, almost an erotic horror as the antagonist is not just dark but actively evil. The heroine wants nothing but a simple life and instead finds herself caught in an awful situation from which she'll be lucky to escape alive.
The age play and discipline elements that my readers love are still included but they form part of a much darker romantic story though of course it still ends with a happy ever after.
Daphne is hired to pose for an artist but she has no idea that the man who wants to paint her also wants her dead for reasons that become clear as the story progresses. Her only hope is a man she hates, a man who spanked her on their first meeting and intends to do so again when they next meet. What follows is a race against time to outwit the evil artist before he finishes his masterpiece by murdering his muse.
Daphne Hardcastle vowed never to rely on anyone else. But after losing her job, she becomes desperate enough for work to contact the Earl of Conway and accept his offer of posing for a painting. When he first asked her to model for his artist friend, she refused. Daphne knew little about the rules of high society but it did not take an expert in etiquette to know that a man who spanks you on your first encounter is a man to be avoided at all costs.
The Earl of Conway is in trouble. He needs to find a model to repay a debt. He cannot afford to lose which is why he has worked so hard to persuade Daphne to pose for an artist who specialises in capturing the juxtaposition between innocence and sin, youth and experience, pleasure and pain, life and death.
The Earl hoped to teach Daphne the joys of submission and age play but when she vanishes without trace, he realises the mysterious artist has desires far darker than his own. Now he’s in a race against time to track her down before the artist uses her to complete his dark masterpiece, The Murder of the Muse.
