a Little Insight

TWO sons TOO many,
A life lived through challenges and self inflicted hardships. determined to be the top and aim as high as one can fulfilling dreams to travel the world and the story as a simple Irish man grows from boy to man.

What he encounters along the way are to some quite normal to many outrageous and to others unthinkable. Plenty of drugs and the troubles that come with it. A youth without direction.

Travel and adventure, a young man gets to sew the "wild oats" and have plenty of good old fashioned sex along the way to building a life. Looking for some form of normal and settled, his search continues.

The bumps in the road continue and the universe has other plans to teach us, Aidan is thought fast and hard to feel the real pain life has to offer. How to overcome and continue with the same determination that has caused one too many altercations.

Life truth and one's reality can seem perfect and fun although regardless some greater power remains at work, the universe, or God, this would be the readers decision.

As a parent the life of one's children is oh so precious. The innocence of child to be cherished and loved. Aidan learns what unconditional love is in all it's true forms. Seeing a son grow and listen to his wit, his charm and his nerve are proud moments. A son, he thanks God for such perfection.

Darkness dooms and life is taken, the nastiness of death which we all just cannot avoid, strikes deep into the heart of the writer. Leaving questions unanswered by science. Logic holds no ground with death unexplained.

Determination, true Irish brute force and ignorance bring life and new light. A son, he thanks God for such perfection once again. To cuddle and kiss a babies face once again. The journey continues with renewed growth, a new energy. The second, second chance which seems to be repeating throughout.

Two sons takes us into the life of a fisherman a young man trying to conquer the world one fish at a time travelling to great depths of the oceans to earn his keep and broaden his horizons which is interesting to say the least.

The shadows of the four horsemen return and leave Aidan at the point of no return, devastation to only be imagined by any parent, sibling or human with a pulse of emotion.

His story cannot be imagined, though we try to sympathize, it is not possible for us to go that deep in our compassion. This book stretches us the reader to thought and emotional boundaries we have not yet ventured perhaps. We cannot grasp what exactly has occurred.

Inspirational strength, depth of character and emotional struggles ring through to us to test these ideals of compassion. As a parent and a busy person this book brought great , pause, to my life. A moment to reflect and appreciate the few little beauties I have around me.
This read has not changed my life nor did I expect it to, however I can say with great meaning. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READ to all who value life in its simplest form.
Well done Aidan on sharing a great insight to what life can be........
