The Experiment

Author groups can be life-changing. Just recently, I made a new friend, Sarah Johnson, who is a well-known writer of Jane Austen fan fiction. Not only is she an awesome writer, she is a fantastic cover designer.
About a month ago, Sarah took it upon herself to read one of my most recent novellas, Charlotte's Lance and the Round Fable. Well, she loved it, and told me she was stumped as to why it wasn't selling.
But Sarah didn't just pay lip service to my advancement: she came up with an idea. She suggested that I follow in her footsteps, writing fan fiction of the iconic Jane Austen.
At first I thought it impossible. But from impossible to maybe is just a step, and from maybe to actually starting such a project is just another.
The upshot is that Longbourn Revisited has come into being, and so far has been downloaded and read by a number of people. Who knows what the outcome will be... and all thanks to Sarah's kind suggestion.
