WRITE of Way
On August 22nd I submitted the final eProof file for my upcoming novel, AN ENLIGHTENING QUICHE. In effect, this was the green light for me to proceed past the crossroad at Proofing and Publication by asserting my WRITE of Way.
The Logistics
Giving it the gas and peeling rubber along the last stretch of a nearly 9-yr. journey:
Any day now, I can expect to receive a high-resolution jpeg photo of my front book cover which I intend to convert into a 3-D representation to incorporate in an official book trailer.
Within a week, I’ll receive the final proof of my completed and approved book to examine.
During this same timeframe I’m expecting 35 ARC’s to arrive at my door. Hopefully, the stock pile will dwindle for each unit to serve a higher purpose in my attempt to line up several book reviewers during the pre-release phase.
My first book order for 99 copies will take 1.5 weeks to print and 1.5 weeks to ship.
My book will be posted to distributors’ websites within 7 – 10 business days.
In 4 weeks, the print book will be converted to an eBook which will be posted to distributors’ sites within 7-10 days.
When I feel everything is in order and pertinent links are forthcoming, I’ll set up shop at my Facebook Page and my Authors Den web page where I’ll be able to offer signed/personalized copies at a greatly reduced price in comparison to suggested retail for a 562-page book.
May each Indie Author find his/her WRITE of Way along the easement of publication as a means for advancing past logistics and accruing sales statistics.
