Warning! Changes are coming…

I love WordPress. I have been using this blogging platform for six years now, and I have been really happy with the theme I have been using for the Perfect Chaos blog. I like the ‘featured posts’ section and the fact that it’s easy to add widgets and customise the home page. I like the layout options and the way that so much different content can be easily accessed when navigating around the site.

But there are a few things that have been frustrating me about my current theme. I find the text is too small and can be a bit of a strain on the eyes. When I try using larger text it ruins the layout of the blog. Also, because it’s an old theme, it’s not ‘responsive’ (meaning that the layout doesn’t adjust well to being viewed on different devices).

I really want this blog to look great on mobile phones and tablets as well as desktop computers. Smartphones are now the most popular way to browse the Internet, and I don’t want to be left behind. So I’m going to be updating the theme.

I have a new theme in mind which I’m confident will look good and solve the problems I’m experiencing with the current theme. Over the next few days I’m going to start to use the new theme, so expect to see the whole look and feel of the site changing. Rest assured, all the content – including articles, pages, and comments – will remain live on the site and will still be accessible. And there’s always the option to go back to the old theme if you all hate the changes[image error]
