wheezer

Thursday morning I woke to this demonic yowl that lasted about ten seconds. It took me a moment to realize that it was Milo doing a single wheeze. We have no idea what is causing him to wheeze, but he has done it about a dozen times in our hearing.

Most of the day he is normal. He can breathe just fine and has no trouble doing activities, eating, or drinking. It is just every so often he stops and has a prolonged wheeze.

We thought about taking him to the vet, but he seemed to be doing better for a little bit. We canceled his vet appointment yesterday only to have him wheeze several times last night and this morning.

The other night, I was doing research for an upcoming book. I was looking at maps of Kansas in 1866 which is going to be the setting of my paranormal western, Flaming Curse. I came across something in my research that took my breath away: Olson Cemetery. How could I not know there was a cemetery with my namesake? Other than a location, I know nothing about this cemetery. It is less than 30 minutes from my house, so I need to drive to it this weekend and check it out. If anything, I need a picture next to the sign!

So both Milo and I have had breathing problems this week. Mine were from excitement, but I doubt Milo's are. Hopefully we can figure his out soon!

Jehree Anderson Very cool! Did you see the cemetery? What is your opinion on it?

I made it to the cemetery this last weekend. It was a cool, little spot and interesting to see. Not sure if it will make it into the book, but I did get some good pics!
