An Odd Bible Verse Out Of Context

There’s a bible verse I know about that bugs me. I only remember it in isolation, and don’t remember the context. I’m sure the context would make it make sense, but I prefer not to go find that context. It’s much better on it’s own.

New American Standard Bible Judges 1:19:

Now the LORD was with Judah, and they took possession of the hill country; but they could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley because they had iron chariots.

Sure, I could go find the context and logically explain what this is actually saying. Don’t even tell me if you know, because I don’t WANT to know. Instead, I think I’m going to go get me an iron chariot. Then I don’t have to worry if I’m wrong about God or not.

God is powerless against iron chariots. (Note: this is satirical.)
