Book Release Day/ Off to NYC

I should have taken a picture of our guest bedroom yesterday about 4:00 pm. Clothes everywhere, all with little Post-It notes on them! Conferences are one of the few things I do that I'm very organized for. Usually, when I go to an RWA conference I'm pretty busy, and if I'm wearing the right thing, it's one less thing to worry about! So I lay out everything by event, check and double check, and then finally put it all in a suitcase.


I'm sure I'll forget something, though. I just hope it's nothing too important. One year for a cruise I was so busy getting my kids packed that I completely forgot a bathing suit. At first I wasn't too upset, after all, we were on a cruise ship, right? Wrong. The only had one very expensive string bikini for sale! I couldn't wait until our first stop to go bathing suit shopping.


Tomorrow, I'm going to visit the Harper Collins offices. It will be fun to be there, since it's book release week for me. Yep, The Protector goes on sale today!


I hope to log in while in NYC with a picture from tonight's signing at the Marriott Marquis!


In the meantime, I'd love to hear any packing stories from y'all. Anyone else ever forget to pack something?

Barbara Both of our daughters attend the same college, about 1.5 hours from home. Two years ago, it was Family Weekend and my in-laws were going to attend with us as both girls had concerts they were performing in over the weekend.

I thought I had everything -- sunscreen for the football game, a sweater for the concert hall -- everything except panties! Had to sneak out to Walmart early on Saturday morning and try to get back before I was missed.
