More hard work on Learning Curve
Finally got done with my corrections on Chapter four of Learning Curve.
Half of the reason it took so long was that I procrastinated-this is hard work.
The second half is the work it needed. Yikes, I renamed a minor character. My felt, obviously. I had written that section on another file and for some strange, unknown reason didn't correct the name when I pasted the new stuff to the old stuff. I planned to do that but must have gotten side tracked. Then there were the silly typos I keep doing. Like changing tired to tried. A slip of the finger on that one. I used to double check tried-tired, their-they're, must-most with every story I wrote but I started to find less and less of those mistakes so I stopped. Looks like I need to restart the double checks.
Another reason this chapter was tough was that I got spanked one and a half times. I did a couple of No no-s One was too much description when my MC is in a hurry and one was assuming that most readers would get something. My editor didn't think so. She could be right so I went back and added a few lines here and there to full out things.
I also added a few lines on my own. The ending fight wasn't quite as tough emotionally on my MC as I wanted it to be. It's better now.
I was also complimented at times which is good.
There were other reasons, mostly having to do with my work, that I had to redo or add to. And more of those pesky typos. Many I should have caught but a few grammar mistakes were made out of ignorance.
I started chapter five because I had to add a bit there too after I added more emotions to that fight I referenced.
