While Julius Malema was instrumental in removing former President Thabo Mbeki from power in 2008 in support for Zuma, he now praises Thabo Mbeki as ANC's best leader. In September 2008, both Jacob Zuma and Julius Malema referred to Thabo Mbeki as a "Dead Snake", which needed to be buried.
