Living and Learning
So apparently I decided to publish a second edition of Nightcry two days too late. I have a B&N signing on Sunday, May 15 while I was getting ready to publish that second edition. The second edition fixes a few formatting issues and a few minor grammar problems. Not a big deal, but according to the POD publisher I use, it is.
I upload the file on Friday and it gets accepted, but yet I still have to order a proof and wait until it ships before I can approve it and order the copies I need for the book signing. This morning (Tuesday) the proof is shipped and I approved it and order the copies and strangely enough, I can pay $29.99 for an estimated delivery date of 5/16 or $47.99 for an estimated delivery date of 5/16. Yes, you read that right. Was it a glitch? I don't know and neither did Createspace. So I choose the $29.99 of course, banking on the books arriving by Fri/Sat. My last batch came in three days so I can hope.
The moral is don't procrastinate. I didn't think I was; I just made a decision one day to late. My bad...my bad. I learned.
If anything, I still have 9 copies of the 1st Edition to sell. Maybe I'll have to turn into John Grisham, selling copies out of my truck on Monday.
